Yesterday, I did a small kind of reunion.. with an old friend.. (hmm not really old~ she's still young, pardon me)
I met with "Kiyoko Yasuda"..
"Whaaaw~! A Japanese Name~! Is she an Idol??"
LOL NO~! she's not~ hahaha
"So, who is she?"
She's a friend.. well.. I met her when I joined RMIT Japan Club in Melbourne last year (if you follow my "Atarashii no Sekai stories, you should know her~), and we worked together with others as the club officers..did the soran bushi dance together and we also graduated together though..
And she's also a blogger like me~~! please do visit her page too~! especially for girls if you wanna know more about make ups~ \>.</
Here's her blog: The Perfect Imperfection
Last time I met here was when I went to Singapore a couple months ago~ went to AKB48 cafe and played some games in the arcade.
She's in Jakarta right now to meet with her parents :) well... only for a week..
So we did a little reunion just to meet and chat~ in Plaza Senayan... Actually I tried asking her to go to some other shopping centers in Jakarta... but she said that she's already visited almost all shopping centers in Jakarta~ WOW~~(*applause).
What were we talking about??
Job... (.___.)
hahaha we talked about what are we gonna do after graduate.. what kind of job to take.. and she gave me some useful information about working in Australia.. hahaha.
not only about job haha~ she's also told her experiences when staying in Jakarta and describing how exciting it is and also how cheap are the services in Jakarta hahahah.
I also told her about some cultures here in Jakarta, especially since right now is Ramadhan month (Fasting month.. so there are more culture topics to talk. :)
Too bad we didn't stay long though.. as we met at night and the store was closing... so have to go back home~ :(
but~! Never forget to take a picture to remember the day~!
*CLICK~!
and after that we went home~ and the reunion finished~!
It was nice to talk with Kiyo and please do visit Jakarta again so we can play again~ :)
Thank you~!
Ps: and I'll try my best to visit Singapore too~ as I have more reasons to go there.. ups~ :)

So~! the first one you will notice when you visit this blog... must be the new look of the blog~! yeaay~!This blog has been using the default old template for more than 1 year I guess... starting before I went to Melbourne until now I'm back to Indonesia. The old blog default template was Travel which is available from this blogger itself. But now I need to refresh my blog with new look so I will have get more mood in writing~! :)
For you guys anime lovers, you might realized that the picture frame style in the homepage is similar to someone's website... yup~ it's similar to Danny Choo's blog. But wait~ I'm not directly copied it from him~ this major change also has my effort in it.. let me elaborate~!
The mood to change the blog style started when I saw a post in facebook Post~! Danny posted a website which made a Mirai blog template. As I looked through all the pages in that blog... the blog is really good~! it has more other anime styled blog template. You might want to check, so here's the blog: Blog Johanes (well.. it's in Indonesian though...)
so I applied it to my blog.. but it wasn't really fit 100% to my blog features~ so it is also the time to change the banner first~!
Bye, Old banner~ |
hello to new banner~! |
So for the new banner, I made it bigger and added more blue things from my inventory~ how many Items you can recognize from this new banner?? hahaha
Next the base color~! the template provided all the texts and the lines are in orange color... so I have to directly edit the XML file and change it with the HEX CODE~! to change it into blue color~! (thank goodness I'm a Computer student~ :) )
from these 1200++ lines of code.. you have to find a line of code which changes the color~! |
And I managed to change all the color of the text and the lines though~ hahahah
Next~ Widgets~! too bad I have to throw away some widgets though.. and moved some of it into different place in the blog. because its not really fit~ The radio widget and the form spring now are in the bottom side of the blog~ and instagram widget in the left side of the blog.
It took me 1 day to change everything from the old view into this new design. Well now you should know which part took the longest time hahaha~
On the top side.. below the banner~ you can see a navigation bar~ well... for now its still not working though.. still need time to think what I should put there~ hahaha so please be patient.
After I finished everything~ I really like the banner which fits perfectly and the effect of the picture frame on the homepage. If you hover your mouse to one of the picture frame, it will show a text "read more" that you can click to read more story of the post~ (danny's blog can't do this~ lol)
haha I think I will keep this style for a while... if you experienced any bugs or strange things in this new design, please do tell me so I can fix it quickly~
and now.. Enjoy the new Amethyst's Blues~! :)
Since the establishment of JKT48, fans of this "48 family" has been blessed to see their Japanese idols in Jakarta. The 48 groups really proven up the concept which is "Idol you can meet". This is of course a very rare event and I can't miss this kind of blessing.
Takahashi Minami and some of the members from AKB48 came to Jakarta on Feb 25th when they had their first collaboration concert with JKT48 and I had fun on the concert~ (I even lost my voice because of too much excitement... hahahaha). And yesterday, July 26th a member from SKE48 came to one of shopping centers in Jakarta to do some shooting. She's the captain of Team KII, Takayanagi Akane or you can call her Churi.
The story began on July 24th when I read one of my friends re-tweet in twitter said that a member of SKE48 and JKT48 will come to Plaza Blok M ( the name of the shopping center) on July 26th. It is said that the reason is to do shooting for a Japanese variety show (will be broadcast by Yomiuri TV). At first I didn't know who will come from SKE48, but after I did some research with my friend, I know that the one who will come is Takayanagi Akane...
On the day of the event, I went to the shopping center with some friends from GUILD48 community to see this Churi in real person. It was mentioned on the tweet that the shooting will begin at 12.00PM, but until around 1.30PM, there still no sign of Churi. There was actually a lot of fans coming to the venue also waiting to meet their idol in real person.
Finally she came from the front door and all the fans were suddenly rushing to the front door too~! Somehow it looked like a wave of humans running into one direction. She came with Rena Nozawa, the only Japanese member from JKT48 (maybe Rena will become Churi's Guide?? hahaha) and Churi started her shooting by visiting some stores inside the shopping center.
Too bad I was too late to realized it when she came, a lot of fans already around the shooting spot and I barely seen her at first....
BUT~!
There was this time... when she was walking to the next store, she walked by in front of me~!!! maybe around 20cm -30cm without any obstacles between us. So I made use of this moment by calling her name~!
"Churi~~!" I said.
"Aah, Arigato~~!" she looked at me and replied with her hands waving a sweet smile~~~
and then she walked away to the second floor.
AAAAAH~~ so nicee~~ she's so cute~ (Of course~!)
She didn't stay too long for the shooting. After she finished walking around the shopping center, she directly went back. Some of the fans thought that she will go up to the stage (There was a stage at the venue at that time) but she didn't.... Well it's only for shooting after all and she was also alone (the only SKE48 member who came to Jakarta) you can't expect her to perform right? hahahah
Because of the amount of fans crowded around the shooting spot, I had difficulties in taking photos. Moreover, I only had and old 8MP digicam with me... :( But thanks, for the hard effort of one of my friend from GUILD48 community, he got many nice shot with his SLR Camera~~! He was actually the first one who realized that Churi was coming from the front gate, so he got some clear shots of Churi before she went inside the shopping center and then circled by the fans and the staff... :)
Here's some of the pics~!
a Japanese Staff took a pic of her in the middle of the street~!
awww~~ such a gorgeous smile coming from her~~ >.<
Churi and Rena JKT48 interviewed a random Indonesian student before they went inside the mall.
What a lucky student~~~!!
The car that Churi use when she went back... Bye Bye Churi~~!! (T_T)/
Yap~! that's all of the story that I can tell~ :) overall it was a very exciting moment to see a real Japanese Idol coming to Indonesia, especially Jakarta... We as the fans from Jakarta do hope that more 48 members from Japan will come to Indonesia~~ :)
PS: actually on the July 24th, I also got information from my friend that there was one more member.. from AKB48.. Minegishi Minami came to Jakarta to do shooting on July 26th... but we don't know where she went.... ah well...
by the way, pardon me for my fan boy-ish post here hahaha :) thanks for reading~
An upgrade has been added to my blog~ if you take a look at the right side you will find a gadget like this:
What is this?? It has a red square box, several white boxes.. stars, heart, plus sign and a Tune in button... Don't tell me... it's a..
It's an Online Radio Streaming~! if you wanna listen to it, just click tune in~!!
This radio is called GUILD48 Caster fm. It mainly plays 48-family songs (AKB48, SKE48, SDN48, NMB48.. soon for HKT48 and JKT48 hahah~)
"aaah Why only 48-family songs??"
Because its GUILD48~! haha what is that? I have a community group here who loves AKB48 and their sister group songs and It's called GUILD48 and I created this radio station actually to entertain the members of GUILD when they are at work.. when they are bored or tired, hope the song will encourage them a bit.
I also to think to spread the love of 48-family to others~! even if you like it or not, hope it can brighten up your day~ so if you see the sign "LIVE BROADCAST" go click Tune in and it will play the song~! (if off air, it means the radio isn't online. :))
BONUS: when listening, you might get the chance to listen to my MC broadcast~! hahaha you'll listen a voice of me broadcasting some news from 48 family~ :)
Well, Enjoy the broadcast~!!!

Hahaha so basically, after I finished my degree in Melbourne, I'm back to my uni in Indonesia to complete the last semester and grab the second degree.. but before that, I have to make a THESIS~!!
At first, I don't know what kind of topic should I make.. and my dad finally helped me by giving a topic~
There's a new hospital in Jakarta, and it need more advertisement. What a computer science student like me can do to advertise the hospital? then I got an Idea to make something called "interactive Kiosk". Don't know what an Interactive Kiosk is?? check out this link from wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interactive_kiosk
From March until June.. I went through busy days (appointment with supervisor, meeting with client, researching, developing the application, testing, etc) made me having less time to sleep and play~ T^T.
But all my hardwork wasn't useless~ everything ended with a B+ with a total score of 814~~!! Yeaaaay~~!!! And with this thesis ended, I've booked my way to another graduation~!!!! which will complete all my double degree program.
I want to say, THANK YOU VERY VERY VERY MUCH for everyone who supported me in making this thesis, even if you only say "good luck" to me, I'm still very grateful for all your support~!!!
Special thanks for my senior~ Evan! He helped me to give more clearer ideas about the application and also helped me to get ready before the thesis defense. And also for my dad and the hospital for giving a suitable topic for me~~!!
Wanna see what kind of application I made for the interactive kiosk? check it out here~!
www.kiosadmira.com
It's in Indonesian Language btw.. hahaha. I'm making an interactive kiosk which will help the patient in the hospital to know the doctors schedule, the info about the hospital, emergency route and the flow for its facilities.
so, lastly.. THANK YOUUU~~!!!

Finally, I got time to write the final chapter for this segment. Actually now is 2012.. I already graduated from RMIT, and I already back to my home country in Indonesia, but I still want to end this amazing story with wonderful memories.. so.. let just start...
I realized that kind of thinking was wrong and I finally went to Melbourne and started my "exciting Freedom Journey"...
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA... a place where I discovered a lot of amazing and fun things. before I came to that place, I always thought what will happen with me in Melbourne.. and I also had a rough time to get the Australian visa because the limited time that I got to finish all the docs before Christmas and new year holiday back then in 2010.
Sometimes I thought that maybe its better for me to just stay in Jakarta without going to Melbourne. I realized that kind of thinking was wrong and I finally went to Melbourne and started my "exciting Freedom Journey"...
- KNOWLEDGE
This is the main reason why I went to Melbourne. Taking a Double degree program from my uni in Indonesia, requires me to go study abroad for one year. I took "Bachelor of Information Technology (Multimedia Design)" program. I learned design and computer subjects. actually most of the subjects were not that difficult.. it was just one subject, which I felt really need a lot of attention.. which is the 3D animation subjects... because I almost failed at the first semester, I spend most of the time doing the 3D animation project in my last semester... because if I failed, I can't graduate and that means all my parent effort to collect all the money will be wasted without any result. My hard work were paid off and finally I graduated from RMIT. The graduation parade and graduation ceremony were totally awesome.
This is what makes my stay in Melbourne felt so colorful and exciting. I' m really happy that I went to Melbourne and met a lot of new people.. eventually we become friends~ Thanks to them.. I didn't become a nerd at home lol. Somehow I felt that all the people in this place are very kind and helpful.
I met people from many countries.. Malaysia, Japan, China, Saudi Arabia, India, Korea, Australia (of course~!) and even from my own country Indonesia. I joined 2 clubs.. PPIA RMIT (Indonesian Student Association) and RMIT JAPAN CLUB~! YEEEAAAAY~
Having lot of friends here really helped me a lot. From "how to live in Melbourne, Job Interview lesson, and even FREE additional food if I meet my friend who work in McDonald's LOL~
I spend most of my free time going to Japan Club activities and I even applied and became the promotional Officer for the club~ It was nice to work with them. I learned a lot,and had fun a lot. We did a lot if things together... Karaoke, BBQ party, Bowling and the most FUN was the SORAN BUSHI~~~!! DOKOISSHOO~~~~~ (you can read the story on the previous chapter). Some of the officers and members also graduating with me so we did the graduation parade and ceremony together~ Hahahah actually I'm speechless.. I'm too happy to described it into words hahaha. Well anyway now I'm still keep in touch with them.. thanks for the internet.
Not to forget..my colleague friends from Indonesia.. 8 of us.. including me..went to Melbourne.. even though.. only two person who are back to Indonesia.. but I still cherish and remember the fun memories that we did together..
And also my 1 year Roommate~! Rene~~~~ aaawwww~ thanks for helping me~~ We do had fun a lot... especially this one... "My Room Apartment is a battlefield~!"
Thanks also for the friends from PPIA RMIT~ terima kasih banyak buat seneng2nya~~~
I did have a target of finding a girlfriend from Melbourne hahah and I found someone.. but too bad.. no chance because she already got a boyfriend. (NUOOOOOOOOO~~~)
Actually, this post can never hold all my stories here~ I had soooooo much fun. Melbourne is a nice, good, exciting place to stay. Everything are new here and I learned a lot.
Last but not the least. I wanna say thank you very much for everyone in Melbourne who helped me and made my days enjoyable... If I visit Melbourne again some other time, lets meet for an reunion~!
I'm not staying in Melbourne anymore.. but our memories will stay forever~!
Thank you~!!! and this concludes the Final chapter of "ATARASHII No SEKAI- Melbourne"
note: on second thought.. It will be good if I can publish all these stories into a book and sell it~~ :) *blingbling
Best graduation picture~!! me on the very left~ :) |
